All Lincoln High School rules apply in the classroom.
Pay special attention to electronics and headwear I have a no tolerance policy on these and will confiscate them! The length of time I will hold onto your phone is determined by how many times you have been caught with one in class and how disruptive you have been.
Due to cell-phone cameras, no cell phones are allowed to be visible during tests. Just having your cell phone visible will invalidate your test. |
You are expected to do what contributes to your learning and to the learning of others.
This includes things like:
- Come to class regularly
- Arriving on time
- Coming to class with pens, pencils, erasers, paper, calculator, etc
- Participating in class work and activities
- Working collaboratively
- Using the full class time
- Being deliberate about learning
- Getting help as soon as possible
- Being honest about your work

You are expected to treat others and yourself with dignity, respect, and trust.
This includes things like:
- Maintaining an environment where you and your classmates feel safe
- Taking care of school property
- Asking permission before touching someone else's belongings
- Being courteous
- Giving yourself and others a chance to participate in the class
- Getting help as soon as possible
- Being honest about your work

You are expected to do your best work at all times.
This includes things like:
- Completing all your assignments thoughtfully and thoroughly
- Prepare for quizzes and tests
- Being deliberate about your work
- Using the full class time
- Getting help as soon as possible
- Being honest about your work

If an issue arises, you will receive one or more of the following consequences:
- Reminder or warning - which could include a "chat", conference, or detention outside class time. This will be served after school at 3:20pm.
- Contact with your home - which could include a phone call, a letter, or a conference.
- Vice principal involvement.
- Written referral and vice principal involvement.
- Removal from the classroom.
- Implementation of administrative discipline plan.

| Grades will be proficiency based. Students must show proficiency on ALL ESSENTIAL SKILLS/CONCEPTS to pass the class. Skills scores will be calculated by finding the median of the last three assessments on that skill. |

| C | No skill score lower than a 4 |
| D | No skill score lower than a 3 |
| F | At least one skill score of 2 or lower. |

| TAssignments are opportunities to learn and practice skills. They do not directly contribute to your grade. |
